In late 2012, I shot a movie called Coldwater. It was a wonderful experience, cast and crew were exceptionally bright, creative, and supportive.
I play the girlfriend of the main character, I won’t say more then that because it would probably seriously ruin the viewing experience.
After we wrapped filming, I scurried off to do stand up in NYC.
Cut to six months later and this film is being received better then I could have ever imagined. The world premiere was at SXSW in Austin, TX in the beginning of March and the positive reviews have been rolling in.
Here are a few of MANY all hands on deck claps all around. I think it’s going to be traveling to more festivals and hopefully get a big theatrical distribution later this year or early 2014.
Keep your eyes open for what happens with this film and be prepared to get rocked.

so we’re all voting for obama tomorrow, right? because we literally have to. because even though it’s all a fucking wicked sideshow if romney becomes president we’re officially the stupidest most out of touch modern civilization walking headfirst into the undoing of what so many progressive people have been fighting for since the beginning of time. and if you don’t know about the propositions do a little light reading tonight . be grateful for those who are trying to make it better and do your part to resist against those who are only capable of making it worse.

I cooked this delicious plate today for lunch!
It’s a John Dorry fish filet, rubbed with a brown chinese stir-fry sauce, fish seasoning and a little bit of liquid aminos. Broccoli and asparagus sauteed in Earth Balance with Salt and Pepper with purple forbidden rice, plain. All garnished with a healthy (and necessary) dose of Sriracha.
I just came off of a pretty intense 21-day cleanse and this is one of the first meals I made post cleanse. I’ve lived in LA for five years now and I was pretty much due for a cleansing.
I recently found out, through a process that can only be described as humiliating and disgusting (home stool kits) that I have a number of issues regarding food. I’m lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant and get this.. ALLERGIC TO FUCKING EGGS. What the funk?! I didn’t even know that was a thing. And for all the haters/ skeptics / not in-the-know folks, let’s briefly discuss what gluten is… And by briefly discuss, I mean…allow me to direct you to a little known website called Wikipedia and you can get yourself an education.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gluten. (You’re welcome).
With all this new information I obviously had to make a huge lifestyle shift. Where I used to want to make some eggs in the morning, I now look forward to good tofu mash. Where I once sought out Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food, I now find myself eating “ice cream” made from coconut milk. Coconut what? Coconut milk. If you’re from the mid west you probably haven’t gotten this yet, but bear with your state, you’ll get it soon. Ten years ago I’d literally only seen a coconut once and it was because I was vacationing in Jamaica. (Also found out about Hash that trip but that’s a different story). Now my world gets a little bit off balance if my local 7-11 doesn’t have “my kind” of coconut water. Because at this point, there’s 97 million varieties and I’ve developed such a palate that I only like a certain brand. How bitchy and privileged I’ve become.
I love cooking and I love eating, but now - with my new “situation” I have can’t actually function within the normal food confines our society has in place for us.
Farmers markets and Whole Foods are my soul mates. Trader Joe’s is close behind.
Weird guys with dreads who pull radishes and rave about sheep’s milk are my people now.
I’d say I’m ashamed but I actually dig it. Look, dairy gives you diarrhea and gluten makes your skin fucked up, I can’t eat eggs and my ass has never looked better. Maybe food allergies are just your body’s way of telling you you’re decaying too quickly and it’s time to slow it down with the additives and kick it up on the kale and bananas. Or maybe this all happened so I could share a picture on the internet of a meal I made with a fish I never heard of til I found it three days ago at the Farmer’s market.
I went to the Wreck It Ralph premiere at the El Capitan on Hollywood Blvd on Monday night.
The movie was so adorable - everybody needs to go see it ASAP!
The entire cast is brilliant and the story will probably make you cry if you are due for a good one / have a heart.
Starring; John C. Reiley as Ralph, Sarah Silverman as Venelope, Jane Lynch as Calhoun, Jack McBrayer as Felix and more..
